It was responsible for destroying most of the human population, yes. Keeping the mountain quarantined for tonight is a good idea.

If you want to know more about the virus, you'll have to ask Julien yourself. He didn't tell me much, and it was a year and a half ago.

Everyone who is currently here is either Elf or Dwarf, at least for the most part, so we'll likely have less of a a problem than Men [...catching himself the second time around] than humans would, but we'll take care of it.

He vanished a number of days ago, apparently after another physical echo. I haven't been able to find out more than that he is most likely still in Germany or Austria- I was planning to go looking for him soon.

Don't go until I've confirmed whether or not Liam's illness came from him. But I may be able to help you with the search.

My number came back today, and with it an item that might help us find him. I've actually been using it to search from here, while keeping an eye on the patient. No luck so far, but I'll keep trying.

That's the first bit of good news I've had all day. GETTING to him won't be a problem, then - it's FINDING him that will be the tricky part. You're sure he's in the Germany/Austria area?

I'll search there, then. This thing shows me places but not specific people -- I can't look at it and think, 'I want to see Julien.' This may take a while.

I doubt that he will leave the general area.

[Because who knows what echoes will be lost? Reduced echoes might, at this stage, very well be lethal - Thorir knows that some people with larger changes has voiced that worry before.]

What makes you so sure? Don't we lose our changes when we go far enough away from places like Locke?

Not all of them, and we can't control which ones remain.
